Chocolate Hummus

Ingredients

1 can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed

4 T maple syrup

1/2 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

4 T unsweetened cocoa or cacao

2+ T water

Directions

In a food processor, combine all ingredients except the water.  Blend until smooth, adding water by the tablespoon until desire consistency.

Notes

You can use any type of bean, including cannellini or black beans.  

I use about 6 tablespoons of water when I make this, because I like a smoother, creamier consistency.
